Tag, You’re it!
Mels just sent me a fun “tag†game…all the way from Germany. I credit her with most of the text that follows, as I did a quick cut and paste job so that I could finish writing her a long-overdue e-mail (its on its way soon, Mels ;o)
Here’s how the game works: I have to pick five of the “if I could be’s†below and write what I’d do if they were my occupation. Then I add another possible “if I could be†to the end of the list. The last step is to tag three other bloggers to do the very same on their blogs.
The “occupationsâ€:
If I could be a scientist…If I could be a farmer…If I could be a musician… If I could be a doctor… If I could be a painter… If I could be a gardener… If I could be a missionary… If I could be a chef… If I could be an architect… If I could be a linguist… If I could be a psychologist… If I could be a librarian… If I could be a lawyer… If I could be an inn-keeper… If I could be an athlete… If I could be a professor… If I could be a writer… If I could be a llama-rider…If I could be a mail carrier… If I could be a bonnie pirate… If I could be an astronaut… If I could be a world famous blogger… If I could be a justice on any one court in the world… If I could be a circus ringmaster… If I could be a professional knitter… If I could be an interior designer… If I could be a lunch-lady…
So, here goes:
“If I could be a WRITER, I would, of course, pen the next great American novel that would astonish people with its ability to be moving and riveting and soul-searching and intelligent and witty and startling in its fresh imagery, etc. etc., all without being gratuitous or licentious, crass, vulgar, etc. etc. And then I would travel on the proceeds and buy a decent-sized townhouse in Back Bay Boston so that I could stop paying rent :o)”
“If I could be a professor, it would be of either creative writing, English lit, or German, in which case I would try and be as cool and fun and hilarious and hospitable as one of my all-time favorite teachers and role model extraordinaire, Herr Adams.
“If I could be an inn-keeper, I’d be a business partner with Mels and run the coffee shop portion of our inn in the Bath region. If she didn’t mind, of course.”
I’m sending this to Hillary, Shanna, and Gwen, because I’d like to hear what they’s say, and also because at least Hill and Gwen need to post something and update me on their lives (which is one reason I’m pretty sure Mels sent this to me ;o)
